Just a little History:

Sikes Ranch was comprised of two family ranches, 6500-acre Sikes Ranch and 1700 -acre Lammons Ranch. Sikes, a working cattle ranch since 1900, was originally much smaller, but over the years several family homesteads were added to bring it to its current size. Lammons Ranch dates back to the 1870s when it was homesteaded by William Finlay, the great great grandfather of the present heirs. A copy of the original homestead deed signed by President Benjamin Harrison is on display at the Red Creek Ranch office. Mr. Finlays daughter was a Lammons, hence its current name. The heirs have retained ownership of 80 acres around the original homestead off of Abbey Road because of its sentimental value. Their great grandmothers ashes were spread over an area along Greenhorn Creek. Sikes HOA members can take enjoyment from knowing that you too own some of the Old West, and just like the Sikes and Lammons family members who still reside here, you are also part of its current history in the making. Over 142 properties have been sold to date, with only six remaining on the southeastern end of the ranch.
